Images on the float show the Half Moon side, the Clermont side and the Half Moon with Henry Hudson standing next to it. More than 12 feet high, the float celebrates Henry Hudson, Robert Fulton and Rhinebeck's history. The photos around the outer edge are sections
of the historic mural inside of the Rhinebeck post office. The incredible float will be displayed around town all summer. It was designed and built by Rhinebeck residents Terry Gipson and Michelle Donner of Gipson Design Group. They design custom scenery and environments for television shows and entertainment events throughout the US. Town councilman Bruce Washburn and a host of volunteers toiled for a month to construct the float. Made of wood, it's very three dimensional! Read more about Rhinebeck events
